The Boulder Office of Emergency Management in collaboration with the City of Boulder Police & Fire Dispatch Center and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Communications Center are testing the outdoor warning siren system today at 10 a.m. and again at 7 p.m. The test is held on the first Monday of each month from April to August. The sirens are used to warn residents of a flood, tornado or wildfire. Today there is light rain and overcast skies in the Boulder area and no risk of flooding. The National Weather Service does not have an active weather advisory, watch or warning in place for Boulder County at this time.
