The evacuation center and shelter at Nederland High School is closing today at 2 p.m. Boulder County case workers will be on hand to help support those still at the shelter at that time.
The Boulder County Disaster Assistance Center remains open for those with special assistance needs resulting from the Cold Springs Fire and will be operating today (Thursday) and Friday at the Nederland High School from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
At the Boulder County Disaster Assistance Center, fire-impacted residents have access to help with food replacement, temporary housing, transportation assistance (including bus passes), and public supports such as health coverage and SNAP (food assistance). Information is also available about food safety and water testing (including kits), septic and well issues, fire retardant (slurry) cleanup, debris removal, rebuilding and more.
