Parents: We know it’s hard for tweens and teens to stay home and avoid seeing their friends. We were all teenagers once; however, no one is exempt from Stay at Home orders. When groups of people (of any age) convene, they risk spreading COVID-19 to their own families and throughout the community. Consider taking time to educate your older children on why social distancing and staying at home is so important to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Here’s some guidance on from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) on talking with kids about COVID-19:
- Messages for parents, school staff, and others working with children
- Keeping children healthy while school is out
