A Damage Assessment Team was once again escorted by the Incident Management Team to survey damage identified by ground crews. The DA team completed their survey at approximately 3 p.m.
The land survey resulted in identifying three additional homes that are destroyed. There are also 4 additional outbuilding identified as being destroyed (for a total of 7 additional destroyed structures).
- 141 Sherwood Drive – outbuilding destroyed
- 47 Bonanza Drive – house destroyed
- 1513 Ridge Road – house and 3 outbuildings destroyed
- 319 Sherwood Dr – house destroyed
These destroyed homes are in addition to the five previously identified, this now bring the total homes destroyed to 8:
- 2315 Ridge Road
- 2454 Ridge Road
- 171 Bonanza Drive
- 37 N. Sky View Drive
- 325 Sherwood Drive
Most of these structures were deep within the burn scar with private driveways, off of unmarked roads or driveways. In one instance the driveway was never found. They were also in an area that couldn’t be easily accessed due to residual heat, location, etc., until today.
The Damage Assessment Team is now utilizing aerial imagery to try and identify any other structures or homes burned or damaged.
This is an active fire with fire crews still working in the area. The fire footprint is still a mandatory evacuation zone and residents should not be inside the zone. Currently there are 65 structures within the fire perimeter.
