The Boulder County Department of Housing and Human Services (HHS) will be opening a Disaster Assistance Center at Nederland High School (597 Eldora Rd.) beginning at 9 a.m., tomorrow, Wednesday, July 13. Case managers will be on hand to meet with those with special assistance needs resulting from the Cold Springs Fire and help connect them with a range of supports for which they may qualify. In some cases, these supports can be delivered on-site. Disaster Assistance Center hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Nederland High School is currently the evacuation center and shelter for displaced residents.
People impacted or displaced by the Cold Springs Fire can also call HHS at 303-441-1000 or come to our Boulder office at 3460 North Broadway (no appointment necessary) for assistance.
