Final Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Updates for Friday, Dec. 19.

Fire danger remains high due to high winds and dry conditions. Reminder there is no open burning. Do everything you can to prevent any ignition sources.

Some roads have reopened:
– Peak to Peak Highway (CO 72) has reopened.
– North Foothills Highway (US 36) has reopened.
– CO 93 has reopened.

The following roads remain closed:
– CO 128 is closed from CO 93 to Eldorado Blvd. (Superior).
– Flagstaff Rd. is closed; local access only.
– Greenbriar Blvd. is closed from S Broadway to Gillaspie Dr. One southbound lane of Broadway is closed at that intersection.
– Kalmia Ave. is closed east of 28th St.

The EOC Call Center will reopen tomorrow at 10 AM for non-emergency, non-life-threatening questions about the wind event and general questions. The Call Center will not be able to answer specific questions about utility operations or service restoration. For these questions, contact your utility provider.

Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Update from Xcel Energy:

Xcel Energy is observing widespread damage to their systems caused by wind gusts and flying debris. Inspections and repairs will start as soon as it is safe to do so. Go to co.my.xcelenergy.com/s/outage-safety for additional updates and an outage map.

Traffic Safety Update:

if you plan to drive this evening or into the morning hours, please exercise extreme caution, drive slow, and expect traffic hazards and morning delays. If you encounter a traffic signal outage or flashing red lights, treat the intersection as a four-way stop.
