At 3:50 p.m. this afternoon, a flood advisory message for a potential flood was issued in the Geer Canyon/Lefthand Creek area. Lefthand Fire Chief requested this advisory due to a significant rain event this afternoon and out of an abundance of caution.
There is no imminent life threat due to flash flooding but residents are advised to stay aware of your surroundings and move to higher ground if flash flooding occurs. First responders and park rangers are in the area, monitoring creeks and roads, and will advise when conditions change.
