Lake Shore Fire and Stone Canyon Fire Update and Overnight Operations

Firefighter response and incident command continues through the night for the Stone Canyon Fire, and incident command is monitoring the Lake Shore Fire. The Stone Canyon Fire is at 1,553 acres with 30% containment along the east and southeast corner. The Lake Shore Fire is at 7 acres is now considered to be secure. The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is closing at 8:30 p.m. and will re-open at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, August 2. Staff remain on-call. The Boulder Disaster Call Center (303-413-7730) will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Communications updates through Boulderodm.gov (or social media) will only occur overnight if significant changes occur. Additional evacuation orders can be issued at any time through Bocoalert.org – register for targeted evacuation alerts based on your address. If you see, hear, smell, or sense danger, do not wait for an emergency alert to take action to keep yourself safe.
