BOCO Alert

BOCO Alerts

BOCO Alerts are emergency alerts that share information about current emergencies or disasters and the actions you should take to keep yourself safe.

You can receive BOCO Alerts through:

  • Text message
  • Phone call
  • E-mail

To register to receive alerts visit www.BOCOAlert.org and create an account. By creating an account you’ll be able to enter multiple phone numbers or e-mail addresses you would like to receive alerts through, and add up to five addresses. It’s important to note that you will only receive alerts if one of the addresses listed on your account is within the alerting area determined by first responders, so adding important addresses like your home address, work address, school address, or addresses of friends, family, or locations that you visit often can help you stay informed.

If you block or screen messages, consider adding 303-441-1400 as a contact in your phone and name the contact “Emergency Alert”.

If you have your phone on silent or “do not disturb” settings these alerts will not ring/text through – to allow yourself to receive alerts, keep your phone off of these settings, or adjust your phone’s settings to allow the 303-441-1400 contact number to ring/text through by following guidance for your phone’s make and model.

Remember, you are always your first alerting system. Be aware of your environment and trust your intuition; if you see, smell, hear, or sense a hazard make decisions that will ensure your safety.
