OEM staff will continue to monitor weather activity throughout the evening. The main weather patterns of concern tonight are those coming up from the south of Boulder County.
Due to increased runoff in South Boulder Creek around Marshall and Eldorado Springs, the creek is expected to crest or spill out of its banks sometime overnight. Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District is working with residents to make sure they are aware of the potentially dangerous conditions around the creek.
Other areas of the county may see some storm activity and light rain overnight, but those conditions are not expected to be problematic from a flooding standpoint. Lightning is always dangerous, and people should seek shelter inside during lightning activity. The OEM will continue to monitor weather over the weekend and until all threatening systems move out of the area.
