We have received information from Xcel Energy that although some people will have their power restored soon, some customers will not have their power restored for some time, possibly Monday or longer for some customers, especially those in rural, or remote areas, such as the Town of Nederland. Xcel Energy makes the decision about their power restoration process, and about the order the power restoration is taking place.
Xcel Energy customers can stay informed by using the My Xcel Energy mobile app or visiting the Xcel Energy website. The website hosts an outage map that displays information on the number of customers out and anticipated time for restoration when available. Customers can also stay informed by following Xcel Energy on Facebook and X/Twitter @XcelEnergyCO.
We understand that the longer the power is out, the more impacts our community faces. The City of Boulder and Boulder County are working on resources to assist our community members.
