For the SunshineWildlandFire, significant firefighting activity is occurring on the ground. Air support is not possible due to wind conditions. The focus currently is on protecting structures and preventing further spread. No injuries have been reported. Current size is 18 acres.

East Boulder Community Center, 5660 Sioux Drive, is opening as the evacuation site at 5:30 p.m. Individuals needing services are encouraged to go there. Large animal evacuation site is at Boulder County Fairgrounds. Small animal evacuations are at the Boulder Valley Humane Society.

The Lakeridge Fire north of Boulder near Hwy 36 and Nelson Road is contained and the evacuation warning for the area has expired. Crews are still in the area and the fire is 100% contained.
