Flash Flood Warning Issued for Boulder County

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Boulder County in effect through 8:15pm. Flash flooding caused by heavy rain produced by thunderstorms is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in Lyons. Impacts include flash flooding of small creeks, streams, and gulches, roads, and poor drainage and low lying areas.

Precautionary actions:

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Move to higher ground if you are in small creeks, streams, and gulches, roads, and poor drainage and low lying areas.
