Disaster Strong Preparedness Training

The more we are able to prepare for disasters, the stronger we make our community when it comes to getting through them. Taking steps to prepare personally is an important role that each of us has – to learn more, consider joining us for one of our Disaster Strong Preparedness Trainings.

The Disaster Strong Preparedness Trainings cover a variety of topics including alert and warning, personal risk assessment, and more. Current offerings to look out for are:

  • Disaster Preparedness 101
  • Disaster Strong Train-the-Trainer
  • Preparedness for the Equine Community
  • Preparedness for Access and Functional Needs

If you unable to make a training or just want to get a start on your preparedness planning, visit our Create a Plan page (link to Create a Plan page) or view videos or pre-recorded trainings in our Resource Library.

If you would like to request to have one of our preparedness trainings implemented for your organization or group, e-mail mweber@bouldercounty.org.

Become a Community Preparedness Ambassador

If you feel like you’re ready to take the next step and support your peers in the community with their preparedness efforts consider joining our Community Preparedness Ambassadors Team by completing our Disaster Strong Train-the-Trainer Workshop. Community Preparedness Ambassadors are trained on in depth content, and are then given the tools to be able to share information with others in the community through formal or informal methods.
