Grass Fire near Tally Ho Trail, unincorporated Boulder County

Boulder County, Colo. – Today, April 19, 2022, at 1:12 p.m., the Boulder County Communications Center received a call regarding a grass fire near Tally Ho Trail in unincorporated Boulder County. This is south of the Twin Lakes neighborhood in Gunbarrel.

The grass fire grew to be just under 10 acres in size. Multiple homes in the surrounding area were evacuated during door-to-door evacuations. Firefighters were able to quickly gain control of the fire, and fortunately, there was no structure loss and no injuries reported.

The origin and cause of the fire has been identified, however the investigation into the extent of the damage remains ongoing. The current estimate is $ 5-10,000 in damages. Charges are pending against an adult female, who is a resident of the area.
