USFS enacts temporary shooting ban in Boulder County

The U.S. Forest Service has temporarily banned recreational shooting on forest service lands in Boulder County in support of the firefighting efforts and dry weather. No shooting is allowed until further notice. Monday weather: Dry, windy but cooler

Cooler temperatures will make firefighting a little more comfortable for crews battling the Cold Spring fire, but humidity is still low and winds are predicted to be erratic. Gusts up to 35 mph are forecast.

Spot fire reported across Boulder Canyon Drive

A small spot fire has been confirmed across Boulder Canyon (south side of 119) near the old Tungsten Townsite. A shot crew is on-scene to work on it and put it out. Helicopters are assisting.
